Closing General Session – Answering the Truth & Reconciliation
Answering the Truth & Reconciliation – Calls to Action in Healthcare: Traditional Foods Are Medicine
This session will take participants through the Saskatchewan Health Authority Department of Nutrition and Food Services’ journey in learning food’s connection to land and culture. We will also discuss our partnerships and work towards increasing the accessibility of traditional and culturally appropriate foods in the health care setting.
Highlights from the Nourish Leadership programs (1.0 Innovator & 2.0 Anchor Collaborative) and learnings from multi-year national collaborative initiatives will be shared. Your time will also be spent reflecting on your learning experiences and participating in conversations that are relevant to your own practice.
